International News: Hamas has demanded changes to US President Donald Trump's peace proposal for Gaza. Hamas leaders have said they want to change certain terms, such as the surrender of weapons and the expulsion of Hamas members from Gaza. On Tuesday, some Hamas leaders met with Turkish, Egyptian, and Qatari officials in Doha, the capital of Qatar, to discuss this issue.

Hamas To Answer Trump Plan

Hamas has said it will respond to this proposal soon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also supported Trump's peace proposal. Under this plan, both sides will agree to a ceasefire, Hamas will release its prisoners within 72 hours, Hamas will surrender its weapons, and Israel will gradually withdraw from Gaza.

Hamas sought international guarantees

However, Hamas says it wants Israel to completely withdraw from Gaza and provide international guarantees for this. Hamas also wants no Hamas leaders or members killed, either inside or outside Gaza. Israel attacked some Hamas leaders in Doha on September 9, killing six people. These leaders were discussing a ceasefire proposal.

Differences within Hamas on the proposal

There are differences within Hamas regarding this peace proposal. Some leaders want to accept it without any conditions, allowing a ceasefire. Others are concerned about the conditions, particularly the surrender of weapons and the evacuation of Gaza residents. Some groups are also opposing the plan, but negotiations are ongoing and a decision will be made soon.

Qatar's Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, has said that some parts of the plan need further discussion, particularly regarding the Israeli troop withdrawal. He said it is the responsibility of both Palestinian and Israeli sides to discuss this issue in detail.
